If you have a budding environmentalist in your family then I have the holiday gift for them! Xeko Mission: China and a new line of earth-friendly Xeko Pals teach kids about conservation and the environment while they play. Mission: China is the newest edition of Xeko, the award-winning trading card game that introduces kids to threatened species and the world’s conservation “hotspots.”Kate had the opportunity to check out the Xeko Pal Giant Panda plush. She is quite the panda fanatic and this panda was no exception. When the box arrived Kate had the panda out before I could even see it. She took to it immediately. Made with soy and certified organic cotton “fur” and filled with soy-based stuffing, this plush is incredibly squishy and cuddly making it perfect for any kid!
Sure you say. Another stuffed animal. But seriously folks. This panda is just awesome. Let me fully explain to you how much my daughter loves it. We had opened the box right before bath time. Kate loves bath time. However, when she got the panda she brought him over to the bath with her. When I put her in the bath and told her panda couldn't go in, she screamed, reaching for panda. Her bath lasted all of 2 seconds because she couldn't be separated from him. Apparently, the Xeko Panda beats bath time which is simply amazing. She takes him everywhere with her. He is a permanent fixture under her arm. He even joined us when we went to vote. If she doesn't have him at bedtime, chances are she will cry for him.
Of course, Xeko Mission: China isn't just about the plush panda. It is first and formost a trading card game that teaches children about endangered species and conservation in China. The mission feature animals like the critically-endangered Snow Leopard, and ferocious Kind Cobra. Each card feature information about the animal. Of course, I can't pretend I know how to play with the cards. I don't have that much experience with trading card games. But chances are you kid knows exactly what to do!
Also of note: all Xeko game materials and packaging are made with recycled and recyclable materials. They even use eco-friendly inks, which are kinder to the environment, when printing Xeko trading cards. Xeko game packaging is also kept to a minimum. It is nice to see that not only are they teaching our children about environmental conservation, but also practicing it as well.
The Xeko Mission: China starter set comes packaged in a stunning pagoda box decorated with animals from China’s habitats and dragon illustrations that capture the mysteries of ancient Chinese culture. The starter set retails for $24.99. Booster packs of 9 cards are available for $3.99. Find a store near you today!

You should try playing the game with your daughter. You don't need to know how to play other trading card games. I think you'll find it very easy. The starter comes with a learn to play guide for each player and cards in order. It walks you through your first game step by step so you'll be ready to play in 15 minutes or less. BTW, if you have already shuffled up the starter decks, don't worry, the guide tells you what order to reset them to for 'learning mode'.
Cheers,
Steve
